Paradesi Synagogue, also known as the Cochin Jewish Synagogue or the Mattancherry Synagogue, is the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations, located in the Jew Town area of Mattancherry, Fort Kochi. Built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudan or Cochin Jewish community, the synagogue is a remarkable testament to the Jewish heritage in Kerala. It features beautiful hand-painted Chinese tiles, Belgian chandeliers, and ancient scrolls, making it both a religious site and a significant historical landmark.
