In March 2025, the Greater Chennai Corporation announced a comprehensive renovation plan for the park, allocating ₹30 crore for enhancements such as new fountains, upgraded toilets, pond restoration, children's play equipment, planting of 1,000 Miyawaki trees, reconstructing footpaths, and constructing a ladies' gym. The park remains a cherished green space in Chennai, offering recreational facilities and a glimpse into the city's architectural heritage through its iconic tower.
